A court in Moscow arrested the founder of the Gulagu.net project Vladimir Osechkin in absentia on a criminal case of justifying terrorism, Interfax reports. According to TASS, the FSB investigators initiated a case of justification of terrorism against Osechkin today, March 31.

Osechkin is on the international wanted list. Other details are not disclosed.

In 2020, Osechkin was arrested in absentia by the Golovinsky Court of Moscow on a criminal fraud case. It was initiated back in 2015. Immediately after this, the founder of Gulagu.net left Russia.

In 2022, it became known about the initiation of a criminal case against Osechkin for spreading so-called fakes about the Russian army.

The Gulagu.net project publishes information about the state of the prison system in Russia. There, information about crimes in the Russian prison system has been made public on several occasions.

Osechkin was the first to publish large-scale leaks of reports about torture and violence in Russian colonies and prisons. Several of them ended with court sentences for the FSIN employees who questioned the prisoners.
