The FSB named a 35-year-old citizen of Ukraine Yuriy Denisov as a participant in the attempt on the pro-war blogger Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin). Toth was killed on April 2 in the center of St. Petersburg. According to the Russian special service, Denisov followed Tatarsky and handed over the explosive device that was used in the assassination attempt.
According to the investigation, in February 2023, Denisov came from Kyiv through Latvia to the Moscow region, where he collected information about Tatarsky. It is confirmed that this was done by order of the Ukrainian special services. The FSB declares that it plans to place Denisov on the international wanted list. The special service distributed a photo of the suspect’s driver’s license, which states that he was born in the Donetsk region, and the place of issuance of the document is indicated in the city of Torez (Chistyakovo).
