In Sakhalin, FSB officers detained a local resident on suspicion of treason. This is reported by the regional office of the department.
The special service claims that the detainee planned to go to Ukraine in transit through the territory of a third country in order to join “one of the military units formed to participate in military operations against the armed forces of the Russian Federation.” In the video of the arrest, the FSB officers showed the boarding pass for the plane that the detainee was allegedly going to use.
The suspect faces up to 20 years in prison.
