The governor of Primorye bought a yacht after the start of the war

Since the spring of 2022, the White Pearl yacht with the call sign ZGOV8, worth almost 1.2 billion rubles, has been at the disposal of the Governor of the Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako. This was reported by “Verstka” with reference to the obtained closed data of the Russian customs.

According to the journalists, the ship was imported to Russia for the first time in April 2022 from South Korea. The owner of the yacht was hidden offshore from the British Virgin Islands, and he acted as the sender of the vessel.

At the Vladivostok customs post, the boat was issued to the former captain of the Black Sea Fleet, Shakir Jafarov. According to information from the leaks of the Russian tax service, at least in 2020, Jafarov received a salary at the Ozernovsk Fish Canning Plant No. 55, which is co-owned by the son of the head of Primorye, Nikita Kozhemyako.

In October 2023, the ship left Russian waters for a few days, and upon its return this time it was registered as Igor Tyvyakov, who, according to merged data from the Federal Tax Service, worked in the economic department of the Primorsky Krai government in 2020 and 2021. In the phone books of other users, Tyvyakov’s number is recorded as “Ihor the captain of the governor’s yacht” and “Ihor the governor’s boat”.

According to Verstka, the White Pearl yacht is wintering at the Zvezda shipbuilding complex, which specializes in the construction and repair of large-tonnage vessels, in particular, tankers for Rosneft.

• The White Pearl yacht is a 37-meter vessel launched in the summer of 2021 at the Italian shipyard Tecnomar. It has four guest cabins that can accommodate eight people overnight. The cost of a weekly yacht rental is estimated at approximately 81 thousand dollars.
