In the materials of the criminal case on extremism against Alexei Navalny, the name of one of the richest people in the world – the American investor Warren Buffett – was discovered.

A photocopy of the investigator’s report was published on the oppositionist’s social networks. It says that several payments were made to the crypto-wallet of the Anti-Corruption Foundation from the wallet from which a payment was once made to Warren Buffett.

The investigator found out that the wallet belongs to the creator of the cryptocurrency Tron, Justin Sun. A few years ago, he participated in a dinner with Buffett, paid four and a half million dollars at an auction for the right to meet with the investor.

Journalist Andrey Zakharov points out that the wallet from which the transfers were made does not belong to San. The owner is an ordinary crypto-enthusiast who, after San’s dinner with Buffett, sent the investor a donation as part of a flash mob. The journalist wrote in a telegram that the investigators “are not even able to read open information.”

“Evidence of the criminal nature of the activities of Alexei Anatolyevich Navalny is also his established connection with the American billionaire Warren Buffett and the use of extremist slogans in the addresses of Bitcoin wallets,” Navalny said in a message.

At the beginning of July, the oppositionist reported that the text of the rap singer Morgenstern was added to his case about extremism. It contains the words “Lyokha, well done! The time of the young era is in my Lyokha newsletter!”.

  • Alexey Navalny is serving a nine-year term in a high-security colony on charges of fraud. He himself, Russian human rights defenders and the international community consider his persecution to be political. The “Fund to fight corruption”, created by Navalny, was declared an extremist organization in Russia and banned.
  • On June 19, a new trial against Navalny began. Accusations against the politician are brought under seven articles of the Criminal Code. The most difficult of these articles is about the creation of an extremist community. Other articles are calls for extremism, the creation of an NGO that encroaches on the rights of citizens, the financing of extremism, the involvement of minors in committing dangerous acts, and the rehabilitation of Nazism. In a separate production, an episode on an article about terrorism is allocated.
