The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, commenting on the possible permission for Russian athletes to compete in international competitions, said that the IOC wants to put under a neutral flag representatives of the army that kills and rapes, transmits.

“Russia won 71 medals at the Olympics in Tokyo. 45 of them were won by athletes who are also recognized as members of the Central Sports Club of the Russian Army. An army that commits atrocities, kills, rapes, robs. That’s who the ignorant IOC wants to put under the white flag, allowing to compete,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, the IOC published a statement in which it was assumed that the Russians and Belarusians would be able to perform at the Olympics in Paris under a neutral flag.

And the day before, the IOC commented on the possible admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions. The organization noted that the performance under the neutral flag proved itself well.

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Vadym Gutzait, stated that Ukraine may refuse to participate in the 2024 Olympics, which should be held in Paris, due to the admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to the competition.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in a conversation with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, emphasized that Russian athletes have no place at the Olympic Games in Paris.
