The Legion “Freedom of Russia” reported a battle in the Belgorod Region. On Thursday afternoon, the Telegram channel of the Legion, an armed unit created, allegedly, from Russians fighting on the side of Ukraine, wrote about the penetration into the territory of Russia.
The operational headquarters of the Belgorod region denied reports of armed men crossing the border, but admitted that there was a battle on the demarcation line in the area of the villages of Staroselye and Terebren on the border with the Sumy region of Ukraine, as a result of which the enemy retreated.
There are no visual confirmations of the fight or the penetration of saboteurs from Ukraine into Russia.
The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, published in a telegram a photo of the aftermath of the shelling of Terebren. According to the official, as a result of the shelling, seven private houses and three administrative buildings were damaged.
In addition, Gladkov reported on the shelling of the city of Shebekino. There are no victims. Some of the shells landed on the territory of one of the industrial enterprises. There are minor damages in several production shops, Gladkov wrote in a telegram. Part of the residents of the city and two neighboring villages were left without electricity due to damage to the power line.
