Due to Russian shelling, two TPP units in the front-line zone stopped.

This is stated in messages Ministry of Energy.

“This afternoon, the enemy attacked one of the TPPs in the front-line area. As a result of the shelling, the equipment was seriously damaged. Two power units stopped working,” the Ministry of Energy said.

As the ministry noted, due to this stoppage of thermal units, as well as a decrease in the ambient temperature, a temporary shortage of electricity is recorded in the power system,

“The Ministry of Energy appeals to consumers to support energy workers – to consume electricity wisely and economically, especially during peak load hours,” the Ministry of Energy emphasized.

We remind you:

NEC “Ukrenergo” made a similar appeal to consumers on Thursday evening.

The system operator emphasized that consumption is increasing sharply and there is an extremely urgent need to turn off everything unnecessary, in particular, if possible, air conditioners and heaters, as well as electrical appliances that are in standby mode, from the network, in particular for charging gadgets, not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at once.

Today, Ukrenergo receives emergency assistance from neighboring operators for eight hours a day from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a capacity of 700 MW (3-4 TPP power units). We had to resort to this emergency measure because there was nothing else to cover the power deficit. The last measure is disconnection of consumers.
