The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia has declared the mother of two children, Lydia Prudovskaya, wanted, who left for Georgia because of the case related to the article on repeated discrediting of the army. The agency indicates that Prudovskaya is wanted under a criminal article, but does not specify what exactly.

Prudovskaya lived in the city of Mirny, Arkhangelsk region. In July 2023, a criminal case was opened against her under the article on discrediting the Russian army. The reason for this was Prudovskaya’s publications on her page in the VKontakte social network. In them, she talked about the actions of Russian troops against civilians during the war with Ukraine. Prudovskaya called the actions of the military criminal.

In 2023, investigators summoned Prudovska’s nine-year-old daughter Alisia and ten-year-old son Evgeny for questioning in their mother’s case as witnesses. In March of this year, she was able to go to Georgia with her children. Later it became known that the court had arrested Prudovskaya in absentia in a criminal case due to the violation of the signature not to leave. She faces up to five years in prison.
