The mobilized Russian walked for a day to the Rostov region

A man mobilized from the Primorsky Krai named Valery S. escaped from the part of the Donetsk region of Ukraine occupied by Russian troops to the Rostov region, walking more than 130 kilometers on foot. He was detained by the police on the afternoon of February 2. This is reported by the telegram channel “Ostrozhno, novosti”.
The serviceman was detained in the border village of Grekovo-Timofeevka. The local policemen noticed that he was dressed in dirty clothes, limped and changed his trajectory at the sight of a police car. Ego was stopped for a document check. The mobilized man could not explain what he was doing in this village.
He was taken to the department, where it turned out that he served in the war zone near Volnovakha. The 42-year-old military man was in the amphibious assault company as an armored personnel carrier gunner-operator. He escaped from the unit on February 1 and, judging by the distance and time to Grekovo-Timofeevka, he walked for a day almost without stopping. The detainee was handed over to the military police, and an investigation is underway.
Mobilized people who refuse to fight are often put in special cellars or “pits for refuseniks” in the occupied territories, where they are kept in torturous conditions. There, the soldiers are beaten and tried to forcefully return them to the front.
