Pardoned by President Vladimir Putin for participating in the war against Ukraine, Georgy Povilaiko returned to Vladivostok three months later. This was reported by the publication VL.RU with reference to its subscriber.
Povylaiko was sentenced to 24 years in prison for the murder of Anna Koshulko in Vladivostok. In August 2021, he beat, raped and strangled a mother of two children.
According to the interlocutor of the publication, Povylayko lives in a hotel on Chasovytyna Street. “Neighbors are calling me and saying how??? He signed a contract at the end of October 2023 and is already at home, less than three months have passed! They are signing a contract for 6 months”, – quotes the edition of his subscriber.
The publication also published a letter from the regional FSIN, addressed to the husband of the victim – Anna Koshulko, which states that Povilaiko was paroled on October 27, 2023 due to the conclusion of a contract with the Ministry of Defense.
