The message of the NBU states that the decision to apply sanctions in accordance with Art. 5 of the Law “On Sanctions” can only be adopted by the National Security Council and implemented by the President by his decree. And the list of international sponsors of the war against the NAPK is, as the NBU notes, an “image project”.
“This is an image project of the NAPK, the purpose of which is to put pressure on international companies to accelerate their exit from the Russian market. The methodology of forming this list is that it includes foreign companies that continue to work on the territory of the aggressor state,” the National Bank said in a letter.

Let’s remind
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance wrote that the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPK) included the Austrian banking group Raiffeisen Bank International in the list of international sponsors of the war.
The NAPK noted that Raiffeisen has been working in the Russian Federation since 1996 and is included in the list of systemically significant Russian banks, which emphasizes its importance for the economy of Russia, which is struggling with the sanctions of the democratic world.
In addition, Raiffeisen is one of the few European banks that continues to work in the Russian Federation, the bank has also taken advantage of the sanctions that led to the exit of its competitors from the Russian market by 200%.
