The government expanded the program of exchanging incandescent lamps for LED lamps to new categories: cultural institutions, libraries and associations of co-owners of apartment buildings.

Now, cultural institutions, social security agencies, associations of co-owners of multi-apartment buildings, libraries and museums, sports organizations and others will be able to exchange incandescent lamps for LED ones.
On the eve of the program of exchanging incandescent lamps for LED ones expanded to educational and medical institutions.
The program, which is implemented in cooperation with the European Union, became operational in February of this year after Russia launched massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Its goal is to replace 50 million lamps to reduce the load on the power system.
As the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, previously noted, it will be possible to replace 50 million such lamps to save 1 GW of electricity is the annual output of a nuclear power plant.
