The plane of the “Russia” airline made an emergency landing at the Mineralnyh Vody airport. Flight No. 6358, flying to St. Petersburg, was forced to return due to depressurization on board, reports TASS.

According to the agency, there were 111 people on board, including six crew members. It is reported that the emergency landing was successful.

Earlier on Friday, a Boeing 737 of the S7 airline, flying from Novosibirsk to Moscow, made an emergency landing a few minutes after takeoff. There were 176 people on board. According to the data of the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department on Transport, the plane had an engine surge – a violation of the gas-dynamic stability of its operation.

The incident with the plane of the “Rossiya” airline is already the third in the last few days. The day before, the Tu-204 cargo plane’s engine caught fire when it took off from the Ulan-Ude airport. The plane landed safely, the five people on board were not injured.

  • At the end of February 2022, after the start of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the United States, the European Union and other countries imposed restrictions on the flights of Russian airlines. The EU banned the export to Russia of goods and technologies used in the aviation and space sectors, as well as the insurance and maintenance of goods related to these industries.
