Despite the detonation of the Kakhovskaya HPP by the Russian occupying forces and the resulting destruction, Ukraine’s energy system is operating stably, and a risk assessment is underway.
She reported about it press service Ukrenergo.
The operator reminds that the hydroelectric plant has been occupied and mined by the Russians since the first days of the Great War. The technological connection with it was lost, and the delivery of power to the controlled territory of Ukraine was not carried out.
Currently, electricity production is sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. The repair campaign continues at many power plants, so there are fewer units producing electricity in the power system.
Ukrenergo urges consumers to distribute the use of electricity throughout the day and to transfer the use of powerful devices from the evening hours to other periods of the day.
As a result of shelling, regional energy networks were damaged in Kherson Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, as well as Donetsk Oblast.
There is also damage to Oblenergo networks in Kyiv Oblast due to falling fragments of enemy shells. Oblenergo crews restore networks wherever the security situation allows. There are no new damages in main networks.
Electricity is exported to Poland in the morning and partly in the afternoon. During the day, imports from Slovakia continue. There are no imports and exports in the evening.
