The indictment requested 4 years and 9 months of prison under the general regime for the former prefect of the Northern District of Moscow and the former deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor Oleg Mitvol. The prosecutor also asked to change the measure of restraint from house arrest to detention. This is reported by TASS.

The case of Mytvol is being considered in a special order by the Railway District Court of Krasnoyarsk. A former high-ranking official is accused of fraud on a large scale during the construction of the metro in Krasnoyarsk. Oleg Mytvol pleaded guilty.

Oleg Mytvol participated in the State Duma elections in 2016 as the leader of the “Green” party. At the time of his arrest, in the summer of last year, he held the position of chairman of the board of directors of the Krasnoyarsk engineering and construction trust.

After his arrest, Mytvol entered into a pre-trial agreement with the investigation and undertook to compensate the loss caused to the budget. Two influential deputies of the State Duma from United Russia signed sureties for him. In early July 2023, the court transferred him to house arrest.

Construction of the metro in Krasnoyarsk began back in October 1995, but was repeatedly suspended due to financing problems. In 2019, 950 million rubles were allocated from the federal budget as part of the national project “Ecology” for the development of project documentation – according to the investigation, all this money was stolen.
