Russian troops shelled Kharkiv in the evening on Saturday. According to the city authorities, there were at least 6 explosions in the city, including in the central part of the city.

According to the head of the regional administration Oleg Synegubov, “there is damage to the civil infrastructure.” Mayor of Kharkov Igor Terekhov wrote about getting into a residential building. Four victims are reported, official data are not yet available. Telegram channels publish a photo of the hotel building, which is said to have been damaged in the shelling of Kharkiv.

According to the Russian authorities, 14 people were killed and more than 100 were wounded earlier on Saturday as a result of shelling in Belgorod, the largest number of casualties in the city since the beginning of the war. The Ministry of Defense of Russia has accused Ukraine of missile fire, the Ukrainian military has not officially commented. The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced on Saturday evening that the Russian military from the Belgorod region is striking Ukrainian territory. Belgorod and Kharkiv are only a few tens of kilometers apart.
