The company “Russian Railways” denied the reports about the fire of a cargo train in the area of Kueda village in the Perm region.
Earlier information received by the Russian Railways was called untrue, noting that the incident does not relate to the railway infrastructure and does not affect the movement of trains.
The statement of the Russian Railways states that a gas pipeline caught fire in the region on Thursday. To help extinguish the fire, a fire train was dispatched, which included water tanks.
Before that, various sources, including the Russian state news agency TASS, reported the fire in the Perm region, near the village of Kueda, of three railway tanks and a threat to nearby residential buildings. Telegram channel Baza wrote that three houses caught fire.
Later, the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia reported that after the gas pipeline caught fire, the fire spread to three private residential houses and outbuildings. As a result of the emergency, six people were injured, including two children. Two victims were placed in intensive care.
The head of the Perm region Dmitry Makhonin wrote in the Telegram channel that the fire has already been localized and there is no threat of the fire spreading.
