Russian tennis player Vitalya Dyachenko was not allowed to board the flight of the Polish airline LOT from Cairo to Nice with a transfer in Warsaw, she was refused registration.
According to Dyachenko, the reason for the refusal was her Russian passport. As a result, the tennis player spent almost a day at the Cairo airport and was late for the tournament in France, in which she was supposed to take part.
The Russian woman claims that she had the necessary cover letters from the International Tennis Federation in her hands. The LOT airline has not yet commented on the incident.
