On June 4, the Russian Volunteer Corps, fighting on the side of Ukraine, posted a video on the Telegram channel with the caption: “Again on the native land.”

Also in this message, it is noted that “an advanced assault group of the RDC and the LSR (apparently, the Legion of Freedom of Russia – RS) enters the suburbs of Shebekino with battles. As noted by “Meduza”, the recordings show people in camouflage who When the shooting was done, it is not specified.

The second post posted on Sunday in the RDK Telegram channel contains an appeal to the Governor of the Belgorod Region, Vyacheslav Gladkov. He is offered to hand over two “captive Russian soldiers” in exchange for a personal meeting in the “walls of the church in Novaya Tavolzhanka”.

Earlier on June 4, the authorities of the Belgorod region and Russian pro-war Telegram channels reported only about shelling in the region. “Shebekino district is under fire… Armed forces of Ukraine are hitting shopping modules in the market area in the center of the city of Shebekino. There are three sources of fire from a direct hit by projectiles…” Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on social networks. Among other things, he reported on the shelling of the village of Murom in the Shebekinsky district and shell damage to the roof of a four-story house in Novaya Tavolzhanka.

On Sunday, Gladkov also wrote in the Telegram channel that an air defense system had been activated over Belgorod, and called on residents of border settlements to “temporarily leave their homes.”

At the same time, on June 4, information appeared that participation in one of the raids in the Belgorod region, together with the Red Army, was confirmed by the Polish Volunteer Corps, which is also fighting on the side of Ukraine. The UNIAN agency reports, in particular, about the video shot in the Russian border region and posted on the Telegram channel of the Polish Corps. The date and place of filming are unknown. But it is noted that we are talking about the events of May 22.

  • In recent days, local authorities have announced shelling of the border town of Shebekino by the Ukrainian Armed Forces almost every day. Ukraine does not comment on them.
  • The previous raid in the Belgorod region by pro-Ukrainian fighters was reported on June 1. On that day, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced a “thwarted invasion request” in the region.
  • In the case of previous raids by the RDC across the border into Kyiv, they emphasized that Ukraine has no direct relationship with them, since the “corps” is not part of its armed forces and consists of Russian citizens.
