The SBU organized an attack on 3 refineries in Russia in a day

A source of the publication “Ukrainskaya Pravda” in the Security Service of Ukraine claims that it was this special service that organized the drone attack on three oil refineries in Russia on the night of March 13. We are talking about the enterprises in Ryazan, Kstovo of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and Kirishah of the Leningrad Region. All these cities are located hundreds of kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

“We are systematically implementing a carefully calculated strategy to reduce Russia’s economic potential. Our task is to leave the enemy with resources and reduce the flow of oil money and fuel,” said the source. The number of drone attacks on objects related to the oil refining industry in Russia has increased significantly in recent weeks. Officially, Kyiv did not take responsibility for these attacks.

On the morning of March 13, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that 65 unmanned aerial vehicles launched at objects in Russia on Wednesday night and in the morning had been destroyed. At the same time, however, an oil refinery caught fire in Ryazan as a result of a drone attack. The head of the region, Pavel Malkov, said that, according to preliminary information, there are victims. He did not give other details.

The refinery in Kstovo caught fire – presumably after a drone strike – a day ago, on the morning of March 12. The Russian authorities did not report a new attack on him on the night of March 13.

The governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, in turn, reported that the drone was shot down on Wednesday morning while approaching Kirish. It is confirmed that the oil refinery was not injured and continued to work.

Also, on Wednesday morning, the work of the oil product plant in the city of Novoshakhtinsk, Rostov region, was stopped – also after the drone attack. The governor of the region, Vasyl Golubev, said that they were suppressed by EW systems and fell on the territory of the plant. According to reports, there are no victims, the consequences are clarified.

Thus, this is already the fourth oil refinery in Russia that has been attacked by drones in the last day.
