The SBU seized Novinsky’s gas worth 144 million

According to the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine, the court seized 18 million cubic meters of gas worth more than UAH 144 million, which belonged to the companies of the sanctioned oligarch Vadym Novinsky.

Novinsky’s companies stored 18 million cubic meters of gas in the warehouses of JSC “Ukrtransgaz”, which were seized.
According to the SBU, the oligarch’s companies tried to alienate this gas for the benefit of third parties in order to avoid the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council. Thus, Novinsky re-registered his own gas production enterprises to several affiliated persons directly connected to the Russian Federation.
To implement the scheme, he involved controlled private notaries and state registrars. SBU employees exposed the criminal scheme and blocked it.
The total value of the seized volumes of blue fuel exceeds UAH 144 million, law enforcement officers note.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings under Art. 111-2 (assistance to the aggressor state), investigative actions are ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General’s Office announced about arrest property of the sanctioned pro-Russian oligarch Vadym Novinsky, who is involved in aiding the aggressor country.
