The shares of foreign owners in the Russian “daughter” of Danone and the brewing company “Baltika” were transferred to the temporary management of Rosimushchestvo. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, on July 16. The document is published on the official portal of legal acts.

In June 2023, the Danish corporation Carlsberg Group signed the agreement on the sale of its Russian business, which is represented by Baltyko. Before that, in March last year, the company announced plans to withdraw from the Russian market after the start of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. Carlsberg noted that the sale of Russian assets must be approved by the authorities. The name of the buyer and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed, writes RBC.

The French manufacturer of dairy products Danone announced the beginning of the process of transferring business in Russia in October 2022. Previously, the company ruled out leaving the Russian market.
