The citizen of Tajikistan, who staged a shooting at Chisinau airport on June 30, is wanted by his family. This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Moldova, Ion Musteata. The shooter is accused of kidnapping a bank employee in Dushanbe.

The assailant himself, whose name has not been released, is now in the hospital in a coma. During the detention, he received about 10 bullet wounds.

A shooting incident occurred at Chisinau International Airport on June 30. A citizen of Tajikistan, who arrived on a flight from Turkey, was refused entry to the country. When he was escorted to the sterile zone of the airport to board the return flight, he grabbed a weapon from the border guard and shot him. Then he fired several more shots, also killing an airport security officer. Another person – a passenger – was injured.

According to the Prosecutor General of Moldova, a criminal case for a terrorist act was initially initiated against the shooter. Now it has been reclassified as an article on double murder with aggravating circumstances.
