The Ministry of Defense of Russia terminated the supply contract with the Concord holding, owned by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the Telegram channel “Ostrozhno, Novosti” reports. According to his source, employees of the holding are now being fired without severance pay. The Ministry of Defense did not comment on the information in any way.
“Concord” is part of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s business empire. The holding includes dozens of legal entities. He was engaged in the supply of food to schools, social infrastructure facilities, including Russian military units and hospitals. According to “Ostrozhno, novosti”, JSC “Voentorg” after the end of the armed rebellion PMC “Wagner” terminated the contract with “Concord”. It was expected that the holding could be transferred to a new owner, but on Saturday the employees were informed that they would be fired. The management demanded that the employees destroy the company’s documentation.
Earlier, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, said that “Concord” earned 86 billion rubles an hour on state contracts for the supply of food to the army.
After the armed rebellion of PMC “Wagner” on June 23-24, companies associated with PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin began to close en masse. On June 30, the dissolution of the media holding “Patriot”, which belonged to Prigozhin, was announced. It included RIA FAN, publications “Nevsky Novosti”, “Economy Today”, “Politics Today” and others.
Yevgeny Prigozhin himself did not comment on the closing of his assets. Presumably, he is in Belarus. The further fate of PMC “Wagner” is unknown.
