The son of the creator of Russian drones “Lancet” owns an apartment in London

Since 2018, the wife and son of the creator of the Russian Lancet drones, Alexander Zakharov, have owned an apartment in London worth about one and a half million pounds sterling. The area of ​​the apartment is less than 100 square meters, but it is located in one of the most prestigious areas of the British capital – about a kilometer from Buckingham Palace. This is stated in the “Important Stories” investigation.

Zakharov owns a controlling stake in the company “CST”. It produces barrage drones “Lancet” and since the beginning of the war has supplied devices for the Ministry of Defense of Russia in the sum of more than five billion rubles. “CST” is under British sanctions, but the restrictions do not affect the Zakharov family.

It is known that “Lancet” kamikaze drones damaged or destroyed at least dozens of units of Ukrainian army equipment. Including radars of air defense complexes, artillery guns and armored vehicles.

According to investigators, Zakharov’s wife, son Nikita and daughter Maria are involved in the business of manufacturing drones, and the youngest son Lavrenty has been living abroad for several years. He finished school and received higher education in Great Britain.

“Important Histories” reports that since 2021, Lavrenty Zakharov has worked in UN structures in New York and Rome. In May 2023, he began working at the UN Institute for Disarmament Studies in Geneva. In particular, he is engaged in research in the areas of ammunition management, demining and humanitarian access to areas of armed conflicts.

Investigators note that Zakharov Jr. studied well and started a successful career, but all this does not give reason to assume that he earned the money for an apartment in London himself.

Alexander Zakharov is a Russian designer who has been engaged in the development and production of drones for more than 15 years. “Lancet” is considered his most famous invention.
