The Investigative Committee of Russia brought charges against a resident of St. Petersburg, Daria Trepovoy, based on an article about a terrorist attack committed by an organized group – in connection with the April 2 explosion in a cafe in St. Petersburg, which killed the blogger Vladlen Tatarskyi (Maxim Fomin), who covered the war in Ukraine from a radically pro-Russian position. .
The investigation requires Trepova to be detained. She has already been brought to the Basmanny Court of Moscow to choose a measure of restraint.
At Tatarsky’s dinner in a St. Petersburg cafe, Trepova handed him a statuette, which, according to the investigation, was filled with explosives. As a result of the explosion, Tatarsky was killed, and about 30 people were injured. Trepova was detained the next morning. The investigative committee asserts that she was following the instructions of certain persons located in the territory of Ukraine. The National Anti-Terrorist Committee stated that the murder of Tatarsky was planned by the special services of Ukraine with the involvement of supporters of FBK Alexei Navalny. FBK denies this, Kyiv also did not take responsibility for the murder.
