The United States announced the “biggest attack” by the Houthis in the Red Sea

Later, the representative of the Houthis, Yahya Saria, said that the militants fired a large number of missiles and drones at the American ship, which was “providing support” to Israel. He also noted that the operation was a “preliminary response” to the US attack on December 31, which killed 10 Houthis.

The Houthis, who control most of Yemen, attack the Red Sea sea routes to demonstrate their support for the radical Palestinian group Hamas, designated a terrorist organization by the US and the EU. The Houthis have vowed to continue their attacks until Israel ends the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
