An activist of the “Yabloko” party and a journalist, Maria Volokh, were issued an administrative report on the article about the demonstration of the symbols of an extremist organization. She announced this in her Telegram channel.

The protocol was drawn up by the police in Zelenograd. The reason for this was the demonstration of the LGBT flag and the white-blue-white flag, which the Russian authorities consider to be the symbols of the “Freedom of Russia” legion – a volunteer unit fighting on the side of Ukraine. Volokh herself is abroad.

In November 2022, Volokh was arrested for 20 days for a protest action at the General Staff building in the center of Moscow. Then four activists wearing white biological protection suits with the inscription No Nukes (“No nuclear ammunition”) went to the General Staff building and lit pyrotechnic flares. Volokh was accused of violating the rules of holding public events.

In early March, the Ministry of Justice of Russia included the International LGBT Movement in the register of extremist organizations. In November, the Supreme Court of Russia adopted a decision on the ban at the request of the department. Such an organization does not actually exist.
