Primorye governor Oleg Kozhemyako denies that he is the owner of the yacht “White Pearl” worth 1.2 billion rubles. At the same time, he admitted that it belonged to his “close people”.

In December, the publication “Vyorstka” claimed that in the spring of 2022, the yacht “White Pearl” with the call sign ZGOV8 will be used by Kozhemyako. The yacht was issued to the customs for the former captain of the Black Sea Fleet, Shakir Jafarov, who previously received a salary at the Ozernovsk Fish Canning Plant No. 55, owned by the son of the head of Primorye, Nikita Kozhemyako.

Later, the vessel was re-registered as Igor Tyvyakov, who in 2020 and 2021 worked in the administration of the government of the Primorsky Krai. In the phone books of other users, Tyvyakov’s number is recorded as “Ihor the captain of the governor’s yacht” and “Ihor the governor’s boat”.

– I read a little of these foreign agency garbage sites about what a yacht is. The yacht, of course, is beautiful, but definitely not mine. These are my close people. “Of course, I like smaller boats that you can control yourself,” said Kozhemyako, without clarifying whether he uses the vessel himself.

According to “Vyorstka”, the vessel was first imported to Russia in April 2022 from South Korea. The owner of the yacht was hidden offshore from the British Virgin Islands, and he acted as the sender of the vessel.

Kozhemyako claims that the “guys” bought the yacht in 2020 or 2021, before the invasion of Ukraine. Kozhemyako promised to “look at the advertisers, at the expense of which sources these sites are maintained, who pays them money.” He also intends to track the media and users who spread the text about the yacht. “During the period of election campaigns, when Ukrainians have fewer and fewer chances on the battlefield, when we are moving forward smoothly, there will be materials or statements by officials in order to lead somewhere to the other side, which will give rise to some doubts,” Kozhemyako said.
