There has been no capacity deficit in the power system for 18 days and is currently not forecast, however, a difficult situation has developed in the frontline areas.

Consumption is at the level of a working day. At the same time, the country’s needs are fully covered by the production capacities of Ukrainian power plants and a small amount of imports from Europe.

Ukrenergo says that the reason for the absence of a deficit now lies in the professional work of energy workers, who in a few months were able to restore the functionality of the energy system and power plants.

Currently, all types of power plants in the energy system are operating in Ukraine. The operation of another of the power plants was resumed, which increased the available power in the power system and, accordingly, its operational safety. Hydroelectric power plants, which have many resources due to water harvesting, are working intensively. Generation from renewable energy sources increases seasonally.

For the 18th day in a row, consumption limits have not been reached in the regions, so there are currently no network restrictions. In the event of a change in the situation in the power system and a sharp increase in consumption, blackouts may be applied.

In Odesa, the necessary measures are being taken to increase the reliability of power supply in Odesa and the region.

A difficult situation has developed in the frontline regions. As a result of the Russian shelling, there is damage to the trunk networks in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as to the networks of distribution system operators in the Donetsk and Kherson regions. Restorations are carried out under the conditions of a safe situation for repair crews.

In 4.5 months, according to the General Prosecutor’s Office, 255 missiles and drones hit the energy infrastructure. Of them, 214 – on the objects of the high-voltage network of NEC “Ukrenergo”.
