According to Baza, the explosion occurred in the afternoon on Sunday. The driver of the freight train allegedly noticed the explosive device and applied emergency braking. As a result of the explosion, according to preliminary data, the tracks and the freight locomotive were damaged, “Ostrozhno, novosti” writes that several people were treated on the spot, no one had to be hospitalized. According to other reports, two railway workers were injured.
The explosion occurred in the Kirovsky district of Kryma – this is the east of the peninsula. The movement of trains to the site has been stopped, the repair may take several hours – the head of Crimea, appointed by Russia, Sergei Aksyonov, wrote on the Telegram channel. At the same time, he did not report what caused the damage.
On May 18, several wagons derailed in the Simferopol district. “Crimean Railways” stated that the cause of the accident was “interference by outsiders in the operation of railway transport”. It was about undermining roads. There were no casualties.
