“Our brands are taking steps to limit access to their services in Russia and will complete their exit from the Russian market by June 30, 2023,” the document says. The report also states that Match Group is committed to protecting human rights.
Match’s shareholder, Friends Fiduciary Corp, noted that Match is setting an example for others, and linked its decision to the risks to human rights that Ukrainians face due to the aggression of the Russian Federation.
“It’s not very good for a reliable brand to continue operating in a country where the International Criminal Court has indicted the head of state,” emphasized Jeff Perkins, the company’s executive director.
