“Tinkoff Investments” will suspend trading in bonds due to sanctions

“Tinkoff Investments” service will temporarily suspend trading in foreign securities and client trading on the Euro exchange due to EU sanctions. This was reported by the press service of the broker. The decision was made to protect clients’ assets from potential risks.

“Tinkoff Investments” promises to restart the auctions within three weeks. On Saturday, February 25, the broker reported the transfer of assets to another company.

Euro trading will be suspended on Monday, February 27. Currency is excluded from the list of liquid instruments. Withdrawals in euros will be available.

Sanctions against Tinkoff Bank, as well as Alfa Bank and Rosbank, were imposed on February 25 as part of the tenth package of European Union sanctions in response to Russia’s armed attack on Ukraine. Restrictions include the freezing of assets of credit organizations on the territory of the EU, a ban on transactions with these banks, and their disconnection from SWIFT.
