Two people from Nizhny Novgorod were searched because of the donated FBK

In Nizhny Novgorod, law enforcement officers searched local resident Gleb Kalynychev. He is suspected in an article about the financing of an extremist organization because of donations to the Anti-Corruption Fund of Alexei Navalny. The search also takes place at Kalynychev’s brother Dmitriy. This was reported by “OVD-Info” with reference to lawyer Krystyna Tyurina.

She said that six masked law enforcement officers broke down the door to Gleb Kalynychev’s apartment. During the search, they seized all the equipment. According to the lawyer, after the search, Kalynychev will be taken to the FSB regional office for questioning. Tomorrow the court can choose a restraining order for him. The punishment under the article on the financing of an extremist organization provides from three to eight years of imprisonment.

At the end of last year, the Kalynychev brothers were also searched. One of them was connected with the criminal case about the so-called discrediting of the army against the blogger Andrey Rudy, writes “OVD-Info”.

The Anti-Corruption Fund (FBC) was recognized by the Russian courts as an extremist organization and banned in 2021.
