Representatives of more than 160 countries will be invited to the global “peace summit”, which is planned to be held in Switzerland, said the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak. According to him, official invitations have already been prepared and will be sent soon.

Russia will not be among those invited. As Ermak explained, the possibility of this country’s participation in the discussion of the so-called “peace formula” will be considered only after world leaders at the summit in Switzerland develop a specific plan for Ukraine and overcoming the consequences of aggression against it.

The date of the summit has not been announced. Earlier, the authorities of Switzerland, which agreed to hold the forum at the request of Ukraine, announced that they intend to organize it “by the summer”.

  • The so-called “peace formula” proposed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, provides, among other things, for the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine and the restoration of the country’s borders as of 1991. The Russian authorities call the formula unacceptable, and also emphasize that discussions of plans for Ukraine without their participation will lead to nothing. Vladimir Putin twice declared that Russia will not give up what it has already achieved in Ukraine, using the word “conquests”.
