Ukraine received more than 36 tons of energy equipment from Belgium

Belgium provided Ukraine with over 36 tons of humanitarian aid in the form of equipment for the restoration of energy infrastructure damaged by the Russians.

Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko met with Minister of Energy of Belgium Tina Van der Straten in Brussels and thanked the Belgian side for the humanitarian aid provided.
“Our European partners understand the importance of preparing Ukraine for the autumn-winter period and are helping Ukraine with equipment and fuel,” the minister added.
Galushchenko added that Ukraine offers European countries and international companies to actively use Ukrainian underground gas storage facilities for natural gas storage, as they are one of the largest on the continent.
Ukraine is counting on the great potential of its own gas production and at the same time is considering its participation in joint gas purchases with the EU for the formation of reserves.
The meeting also discussed issues of cooperation in the field of RES, integration of the Ukrainian and European energy markets, possible cooperation in the field of cyber protection of energy systems.
