Ukrainian carriers started a protest action at three checkpoints on the border with Poland – “Rava-Ruska”, “Shegyni” and “Krakivets”.

This was announced by the head of the NGO “Ukrainian Transport Union in Lviv Region” Oleg Dubyk, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

According to one of the organizers, the action will continue until the protesters from the Polish side stop blocking the movement of freight transport from the Ukrainian side.

Representatives of three non-governmental organizations of truck carriers – NGOs – are taking part in the protest “Association of International Automobile Carriers”, NGO “Ukrainian Transport Union”, NGO “International Automobile Carriers of Ukraine. They demand to end the blockade of the border on the Polish side and restore normal traffic.

“Participants stop Polish trucks that have arrived from Poland for several hours, similar to the delay with which Polish protesters let Ukrainian trucks pass,” said Dubyk.

At the same time, Ukrainian protesters let cars and cars with humanitarian goods pass.

IN comments “Public”Volodymyr Mikhalevich, head of the NGO “International Automobile Carriers of Ukraine”, said that the peaceful action will last from February 20 to March 15, or until the borders are unblocked by Polish demonstrators.

“The essence of our action is to stop Polish cars that drive around outside the queue and to have them stand here as ours stand in Poland,” Dubyk noted.

The protest started at 12:00 p.m. at the “Krakivets-Korchova” PE. Drivers placed posters on trucks with inscriptions in Ukrainian and English: “Remove the blockade – return Ukrainian drivers home”, “Stop the blockade at the borders”, “Ukraine will lose – Poland will lose”, “Blockade of Ukraine – betrayal of European values” and others.
