The National Bank improved the forecast of consumer price growth in Ukraine for 2023 from 20.8% to 18.7%. The regulator made such a forecast on January 25 at a meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Although, according to the NBU, inflationary pressure is stabilizing, the level of stabilization is quite high.
The growth rate of consumer prices will slow down in 2023 due to tight monetary conditions, lower global inflation and weaker demand.
The Ministry of Economy believes that at the beginning of 2023, Ukrainians should not expect a slowdown in price growth, inflation will be comparable to last year.

“It should be expected that at the beginning of 2023, in the absence of new powerful challenges, from which the country is not guaranteed during a full-scale war, the general dynamics of domestic prices will remain on the current path of moderate growth,” the survey says.
