Zhanna Nemtsova: response to Navalny’s murder

The West’s effective response to the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny will be support for Ukraine. Journalist Zhanna Nemtsova, the daughter of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov, who was killed nine years ago in Moscow, stated this in an interview with the “Nastoyashe Vremya” TV channel.

“This is such a protracted war now, the situation at the front is unfavorable, in my opinion, for Ukraine, it is necessary to continue the military, economic and humanitarian support of Ukraine. Ukraine should not lose in this war,” the journalist said. She also believes that it is necessary to introduce sanctions against those who support the war.

Nemtsova said that the announcement of another wave of mobilization would have serious domestic political consequences for Russian President Vladimir Putin. And in order for its implementation to be necessary, it is necessary to help Ukraine. According to her, mobilization is something that affects the majority of people in Russia.

Nemtsova also commented on the death of Navalny in the “Polar Wolf” special regime colony. She believes that the politician was killed, but the authorities are not giving the body away because they are afraid that hundreds of thousands of people may come to the funeral on the eve of the elections.

“This is absolutely some kind of terrifying, surreal, I would say, pagan story surrounding the body of Alexei Navalny. It feels like Vladimir Putin is no less afraid of the dead Navalny than he was of the living Navalny,” Nemtsova said.
