Zoom abruptly fired the company’s president without explanation
Video conferencing platform Zoom has fired president Greg Tomb after his contract was abruptly terminated “without reason.”
The BBC writes about this with reference to the company’s notification submitted to the regulatory authorities.
The former Google executive has led Zoom since June 2022 and has been an active participant in earnings calls and overseeing the company’s sales.
A representative of Zoom said that the company is not looking for a replacement.
Tomb reported directly to CEO Eric Yuan, who founded Zoom in 2011 and led the company as it became one of the biggest winners in the fight against the pandemic.

Zoom is trying to diversify its activities. Last year, it announced plans to integrate email and calendar features, as well as a chatbot to help users solve problems. Zoom Sports is also under development.
