In Kyiv, the police stopped the activities of a group of pimps who lured more than 100 women into prostitution. This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine. The investigators established that the organizer of the group was a 30-year-old woman from Kharkiv. To advertise and promote their services, the pimps created a Telegram channel, where daily they posted more than 30 profiles of women with their portfolios, as well as a price list. The cost of the prostitute’s sexual services ranged from $300 per hour to $2,000 per night. Pimps received a certain percentage from each order. The investigators established that the organizer of the group was a 30-year-old woman from Kharkiv. In addition to the organizer, the group included the administrator of the Telegram channel and two men who drove prostitutes to customers. In total, more than 100 girls were involved in prostitution. Bank cards used for payments with clients were seized from the defendants. During the searches, cars, cash in hryvnias and dollars, bank cards used for payments with customers, smartphones and SIM cards of various mobile operators were seized from the defendants. The woman was informed of the suspicion of pimping as part of a group of persons under Part 2 of Art. 303 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. She faces up to 7 years in prison.
