Medical institutions in Ukraine are constantly in need of donated blood to save the lives of civilians and military personnel. The Ministry of Health has updated data on blood needs as of September 25. Donors are currently needed in: Vinnytsia: all blood groups, Kyiv City Blood Center: 1+/-, 2+, 3- Odesa: Regional Transfusion Station – all blood groups; Regional nursery – all blood groups Rivne: all blood groups Dnipro: all blood groups Kherson: 1+/-, 2+/-, 3-, 4- Zaporizhzhia: 1-, 2-, 3-, 4- Mykolaiv: 1+ /-, 2-, 3-, 4+/- Kropyvnytskyi: all blood groups Kharkiv: all blood groups Lviv: 1-, 2-, 3-, 4+/- Photo: Ministry of Health “Blood needs are dynamic and change daily depending on circumstances,” the Ministry of Health adds. Who can be a donor? Any able-bodied citizen of Ukraine, a foreigner or a stateless person who has a permanent residence permit on the territory of Ukraine, aged 18 years and over and weighing over 50 kilograms. Permanent contraindications for donation: active or past cardiovascular diseases; diseases of the central nervous system; diseases of the genitourinary system; hematological, immunological, gastrointestinal and oncological diseases; pathological tendency to bleeding; hepatitis B and C; OX. Temporary contraindications for donation: infectious diseases – during the illness and two weeks after recovery; vaccination with live vaccines – within four weeks; tattooing, microblading and permanent makeup – within six months. Before the procedure, you cannot: drink alcohol 48 hours before the procedure; eat fatty, fried, smoked, dairy food; use a lot of salt; smoke an hour before the procedure.
