The NHSHU has updated the guide in which you can find out about free medical services

The National Health Service of Ukraine presented the Guide to the Program of Medical Guarantees for Patients 2024. Answers to frequently asked questions of patients were collected there.
From the manual, you can find out what to do when the hospital asks you to pay for medicine or surgery, which medicines can be obtained under the “Affordable Medicines” program, and whether it is possible to do CT and MRI scans at the medical facility free of charge, according to the National Health Service.
There is also information about:
✅ packages of medical services;
✅ services that can be obtained from a primary care physician;
✅ free services for laboratory, instrumental and endoscopic studies, available at the outpatient level;
✅ inpatient care and certain priority areas;
✅ free psychiatric, oncological, rehabilitation and palliative care;
✅ algorithm for submitting complaints in case of violation of the patient’s rights to free medical services;
✅ services are not included in the Medical Guarantee Program and are paid for in health care institutions.
“It is in order for patients to understand their rights under the Medical Guarantee Program that we have prepared this short guide, in which we talked about the Program in simple words”the manual says.

As a reminder, from 2024 bone marrow and stem cell transplants in Ukraine are free.
