The winter wave of COVID-19 will end by mid-March – Kuzin

In Ukraine, the winter wave of cases of COVID-19 will end by mid-March. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Health – Chief State Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin in a comment to “Ukrinform”. “The first or second week of March will be the end of the winter wave of the coronavirus infection. Predictably, the incidence rates at the end of March should be at a fairly low level,” he said. The appearance of the Omicron XBB.1.5 strain leads to the fact that there is an increase, but it is insignificant within the country,” said the deputy minister. As a reminder, cases of the “Kraken” strain have already been recorded in 6 regions of Ukraine. At the same time, the FBI recently said that the COVID-19 pandemic was caused by a leak from a laboratory in Wuhan, emphasizing the synthetic origin of the virus.
