The Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested in absentia the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyly Malyuk for two months in the case of public appeals to terrorism. This was reported by the press service of the court. The kid was also placed on the federal and international wanted list, the court explained.

According to “Kommersant”, the reason for the case against the head of the SBU could be the explosion of a truck on the Krymsky bridge in the Crimea annexed by Russia in October 2022. In August 2023, Malyuk gave details about this attack, clarified that he and two other SBU employees worked on the organization of this operation.

A day earlier, on the air of the Ukrainian telethon, Malyuk did not officially confirm the involvement of the Security Service of Ukraine in the assassination attempts on a number of Russian politicians and public figures, but spoke about the details of these assassination attempts. Earlier, some of them were written about by mass media, both Russian and Ukrainian.

Thus, according to him, the explosive-filled bust with which the pro-war blogger Vladlen Tatarsky was killed in a St. Petersburg cafe contained 400 grams of thermobar, the Prosecutor General of the “LPR” Sergey Gorenko was killed with the help of 800 grams of plastid, and the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Ilya Kiva, was shot from a rifled pistol with a caliber of 9×19 millimeters.

According to the head of the SBU, an attempt on the Russian writer and politician Zakhar Prilepin was prepared with the use of an anti-tank mine.
