A former employee of one of the UFSIN institutions in the Altai Krai is suspected of illegally traveling outside of Russia with access to state secrets. This was reported by “Interfax” with reference to the regional office of the FSB.

Last year, the suspect went to self-proclaimed Abkhazia under a ban on foreign travel valid until 2026. The arrested FSIN employee held a managerial position and lived in the Shipunovsky district of the region, writes the “Oper Slil” telegram channel, which is close to law enforcement agencies.

The message does not specify what measure of suppression was chosen by the suspect. There is also no mention of the case of an FSIN employee in the unified state judicial system of Russia.

Correctional colony No. 6 and a branch of the criminal-executive inspection of the FSIN regional administration are located in the Shipunovsky District of the Altai Territory. In May 2023, IK-6 changed its head: Oksana Korolkova was replaced by Anton Lytvynenko.

  • On June 13, it became known that FSB officers in the Urals initiated a similar case of travel abroad with access to a guest house against a former employee of the Rosatom plant. He also tried to go to Abkhazia.
