A student from Tomsk was accused of working for Ukrainian hackers

The FSB accused the Tomsk student of preparing attacks on the resources of a state institution at the behest of Ukrainian hackers. A criminal case of treason has been opened, the suspect is under arrest.
In October 2023, the FSB detained a student of the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics (TUSUR), who, according to the investigation, participated in attacks on the resources of the Tomsk administration and the Research Institute of the Tomsk Polytechnic University, Astra found out.
It is confirmed that an 18-year-old resident of Tomsk acted on the instructions of the Ukrainian hacker group Cyber Anarchy Squad. He “expressed his commitment to the Ukrainian side,” the FSB said.
According to Sibir.Realii, the detainee is probably 18-year-old Seymour Israfilov. In 2023, he graduated from the Russian Classical Gymnasium in Tomsk, and in the 11th grade he was selected for the city Olympiad in computer science. In the summer of 2023, he submitted documents to TUSUR for a paid department in the direction “System Analysis and Management”.
