Alexei Moskalyov, who was sentenced to two years in the colony in the case of repeated “discrediting” of the army, was sent to a penal isolation cell in the colony in the Tula region for the third time in a row. This was reported on Friday by the human rights project “OVD-Info”, which refers to the lawyer Vladimir Biliyenko.
According to him, his client was once again placed in the SHIZO on August 23. The convicted person must stay there for 15 days – for allegedly not keeping his hands behind his back. The lawyer added that they also want to put Moskalyov on the record as “prone to absconding”.
The first time the prisoner was placed in a detention center for 6 days on August 4. Then the reason was that he allegedly did not get up right away. On August 10, Moskalev was sent to the SHIZO for 13 days – because of the presentation in an improper form.
- Alexey Moskalyov was sentenced in March. This was preceded by the persecution of the Moskalev family after Alexey’s daughter drew an anti-war picture at school, notes “OVD-Info”.
- In March 2022, Russia introduced laws on criminal and administrative liability for so-called fakes about the Russian army and discrediting its actions. The Russian authorities consider any point of view different from the position of the Kremlin and the Ministry of Defense of Russia to be fakes and discrediting.
