At least three people died on the diggers’ tour of underground Moscow

The bodies of three people were found in Moscow River, who, according to TASS, died on an excursion through the capital’s underground collectors. On the day of the excursion, August 20, there was a heavy downpour, and the water could flood the collectors. The search for the remaining tourists continues. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case.
According to Baza telegram channel, two of the three dead are teenagers under 18 years old. The tour guide, presumably, was 31-year-old Konstantin Filippov, who belongs to the Moscow community of diggers – lovers of exploring underground sewage and water pipes, as well as subway tunnels. Filippov’s whereabouts are unknown. It is also unclear how many people were in the excursion group, their search is ongoing.
Law enforcement authorities detained one of the leaders of the Moscow diggers, Nikita Dubas, who may have been involved in the organization of the excursions, and are interrogating him. Due to the fact of the death of people, a criminal case was initiated under the article on the provision of services that did not comply with safety standards and resulted in death.
